Share The Supreme Student Government (SSG) and Peace Club officers of Loyola High School spearheaded the conduct of the activity, which aimed to instil in the minds and hearts of the student leaders the culture of peace as against the culture of violence. Moreover, it aimed to better prepare the pool of facilitators for the incoming interschool peace camp. Various activities and sessions were integrated in the trainers training, namely getting-to-know-you, my Ideal Community and Peace camp, Culture of Peace Orientation, Basic Foundations of Leadership and Team as well as Facilitating Skills and Management. Moreover, an actualization of lively games was held in order to let the participants experience the actual activity that will be used during the camps. Radzma S. Jair, SSG President and Peace Club Chairwoman, disclosed in the plenary session that “the culture of peace trained us to become effective leaders and peace advocates. It is an avenue for us to understand who we are and to be sensitive to the needs of others”. Moreover, the COP TOT was designed to bring out the best of leadership skills of the students for them to manage big group and design framework for an effective structure for peace camps. The facilitators coming from Zamboanga City traveled overnight via a ferry boat to reach the island which was once called Snake Island. Looking at the transformation of the students, “they easily adopted the COP environment” shared Albert Putong, YSP facilitator. He also pointed out the basic necessity of being an effective facilitator which is really to make things easier. Meanwhile, Ariel Kenneth Cael shared that “expectations will serve as guidelines and challenges. Peace is about sacrifice. If one will sacrifice for the welfare of many, peace will be an inspiration”. The Dominican sisters coordinated with PAZ for the conduct of the activity. The students expressed commitment to continue upholding the thrusts of the Culture of Peace and that it will be used in their own personal lives. (Aldrin B.
